We keep finding delicious ways to get Elderberries into your routine! Our organic Elderberry Cherry soda is a nod to all of you who love Elderberry Apple Shots in seltzer. This soda has 4 fruits, 7 vegetables, and a splash of vinegar in it.
And.... no refined sugar, no corn syrup in this soda. We don't even add "natural" flavors. If you aren't sure what "natural" flavors are, it's worth looking at many food items' ingredients lists. So many of our foods have added flavors, which aren't part of a whole food item, they are extracted, concentrated, and added in.
We also sell the soda base so you can add your own seltzer or water to it. The soda syrup qualifies for free shipping (for orders $35+), and one bottle will make about 7 sodas if you match the strength to what's in our bottled soda. It will make even more if you like a more diluted taste.
Soda started it's journey in the late 1700s when naturally carbonated water from Europe (it came out of the ground that way!) was touted as a health tonic. We've come a long way, maybe too long of a way, from the early days. Did you know that during World War II, our largest soda company avoided a shut down due to sugar rationing? They convinced the US government that every soldier should have one of their colas. Perhaps the soldiers deserved it, but we think it's time to take soda back from the "big guys".
